WCS Drills Scrolling Whip, Paddle Turns, Tuck Turns
The baseline step size in swing dancing should be about the full length of your own foot. The connection between the leader and the follower switches between A frame and V frame inside of this small step. When a dancer takes small steps nothing gets missed. Leaders have plenty of time to prepare their lead and followers alive at the lead with enough energy and time to preform the desired figures. If only one dancer in a partnership takes the right sized steps and the other does not the dance will limp along and most of the leads will be felt. This video has Mr. Jonathan and Julie dancing two basic whips (Standard and Outside turn). The third whip in the sequence Repeats counts 5 and 6. Our final whip combines the Lariat move we learned in class the week prior with the Outside turning whip for a fun little pattern sequence.

It's important to point out in each & every video that there are ONLY two (2) dance styles done on ANY social Dance Club/Lounge anywhere in the World. Spot/Rhythm & Progressive/Traveling. The congestion Problem (s) we all run into these days is that Dance Instructors do not continually reinforce (Over & Over/ Ad Nauseum ),...... All Spot/Rhythm Dance Styles should be done in the CENTER of the Dance Floor,......Progressive/Traveling Dance Styles are done COUNTER CLOCKWISE in the two (2) outside lanes of the Dance Floor. Slower Progressive/Traveling Dancers on the inside Lane & the faster moving dances in the Outside FAST Lane. This way, we can ALL perform our dance of choice at the very same time to each particular Music Selection. Thank You!

A non chef owning a mandolin slicer is probably THE most feminine things I've ever encountered and I say that as a female with a mandolin slicer that I use every excuse to whip out. The "manliest" thing I can do with it is a small parties worth of french fries in under a minute (adjustable blades are lovely)
